And in Morocco, Kenya and Mozambique, it should even soar by +50% !<\/h4>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Africa is home to some of the fastest growing markets, such as Rwanda, Uganda and Mauritius,<\/em>\u00a0says<strong> Andrew Amoils<\/strong>, <strong>Head of Wealth Research<\/strong> at <strong>New World Wealth<\/strong>. And we expect private wealth growth of +60% in these three countries over the next decade, driven by especially strong performance in the technology and professional services sectors.&#8221; \u00a0Mauritius is a particularly interesting case, with the fastest wealth growth on the continent, and another <strong>+80%<\/strong> in the next ten years. It also has one of the world&#8217;s fastest high-income growth rates, along with <strong>Australia, Malta<\/strong>, <strong>New Zealand<\/strong> and <strong>Switzerland<\/strong>. \u00a0The country already has the highest per capita wealth in <strong>Africa<\/strong>, at <strong>$34,500<\/strong>. <strong>South Africa<\/strong> (<strong>$10,970<\/strong>) and N<strong>amibia<\/strong> (<strong>$9,300<\/strong>) are (quite) far behind.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Unequal distribution<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Wealth is very unevenly distributed on the continent: five countries (<strong>South Africa, Egypt, Niger, Morocco<\/strong> and <strong>Kenya<\/strong>) account for half of it. The same goes for its <strong>136,000 millionaires<\/strong>, <strong>305 hundred millionaires<\/strong> and <strong>21 billionaires<\/strong>. \u00a0<strong>South Africa<\/strong> is home to twice as many as any other country in <strong>Africa<\/strong>, while <strong>Egypt<\/strong> has the highest number of billionaires.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dominic Volek<\/strong>, <strong>Head of Private Clients<\/strong> at <strong>Henley &amp; Partners<\/strong>, points to the existence of well-established wealth hubs on the continent, such as<strong> South Africa, Egypt<\/strong> and <strong>Morocco<\/strong>. However, <em>&#8220;High-income individuals are extremely mobile and their movements are a valuable indication of future economic trends in each country,&#8221;<\/em> he observes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vusi Thembekwayo<\/strong>,<strong> CEO<\/strong> of <strong>Mygrowthfund Venture Partners,<\/strong> notes that growth has so far been concentrated in the southern and northern extremes of the continent (<strong>South Africa, Egypt, Morocco<\/strong>).
