Marriott International<\/strong> has announced that it has signed an agreement with Baraka Lodges<\/strong> to enter the African safari segment. The JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge<\/strong> will be located in the Mara<\/strong> National Reserve in Kenya<\/strong>, one of Africa<\/strong>‘s most renowned wildlife conservation areas. This elegant lodge is expected to welcome guests in 2023.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Overlooking the famous banks of the Talek River<\/strong> and bordering the reserve, the lodge’s prime location will provide guests with a camp overlooking the Masai Mara<\/strong> National Reserve, offering breathtaking views of its abundant wildlife and endless plains. Plans for the new lodge include 20 private tents<\/strong>, including a canvas-covered presidential lodge and two interconnected suites, ideal for families, each with a private deck overlooking the river. Communal areas will include a restaurant, lounge bar, spa and a large outdoor deck with fire pits that will host traditional Maasai dance performances in the evening<\/strong>. Guests will have the privilege of viewing the famous “Big Five<\/strong>” – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. Between June and September, the reserve also hosts the annual Great Wildebeest Migration<\/strong>, when more than 10 million animals travel 1,800 miles from the Serengeti<\/strong> in neighbouring Tanzania.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “The JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge will provide guests with a luxurious setting to create unforgettable memories while connecting with nature and wildlife like never before.
