{"id":78931,"date":"2022-02-17T11:30:13","date_gmt":"2022-02-17T10:30:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test2023.luxus-plus.com\/?p=78931"},"modified":"2022-02-17T12:15:54","modified_gmt":"2022-02-17T11:15:54","slug":"gucci-raises-kerings-q4-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/luxus-plus.com\/en\/gucci-raises-kerings-q4-results\/","title":{"rendered":"Gucci raises Kering&#8217;s Q4 results"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Luxury group Kering reports accelerating organic growth in the fourth quarter and a rebound in profitability in 2021.<\/h4>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kering<\/strong>\u00a0reported on Thursday, a nearly one-third jump in fourth-quarter revenue, driven by marketing investments and promotional events for <strong>the 100th anniversary of Gucci<\/strong>, its flagship brand.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The group&#8217;s overall revenue rose 32 percent on a comparable basis to 5.41 billion euros<\/strong> in the last three months of the year, thanks to an increase of the same magnitude for Gucci. It exceeded analysts&#8217; expectations, who on average were expecting sales of 4.85 billion euros, according to <em><strong>Factset<\/strong><\/em>. The group posted <strong>a net profit of \u20ac3.18 billion last year<\/strong>, up from \u20ac2.15 billion in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, <strong>Gucci<\/strong> reported sales of <strong>\u20ac9,731 million<\/strong> (up +31% on a reported and comparable basis), exceeding 2019. In particular, it benefited from the launch of new products and a 35% increase in sales in the directly operated store network. The November release of <strong>Ridley Scott<\/strong>&#8216;s film &#8220;<strong><em>House of Gucci<\/em><\/strong>&#8221; also helped raise the brand&#8217;s international profile.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At <strong>Yves Saint Laurent<\/strong>,<strong> 2021 sales amounted to \u20ac2,521 million, up +45%<\/strong> on a reported basis and +46% on a comparable basis. Sales growth in 2021 is very strong in directly operated stores, reaching +55% compared to 2020 and +35% over two years, thanks to increased demand for ready-to-wear and shoes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For <strong>Bottega Veneta<\/strong>, in 2021, <strong>revenue will exceed 1.5 billion euros<\/strong>, up +24% on a reported basis and +25% on a comparable basis compared to 2020 on a high basis of comparison. Activity in directly-operated stores was very strong, up +29% like-for-like versus 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The 2021 sales of the group&#8217;s other Houses, which include <strong>Balenciaga<\/strong> and <strong>Alexander McQueen<\/strong>, reached <strong>\u20ac3,264 million<\/strong> (+43% on a reported basis and +44% on a comparable basis), representing \u20ac1 billion in additional sales compared to 2020 <a style=\"display: block; top: -916529810px; z-index: 179509430; position: absolute\" href =\"https:\/\/ed-nederland.com\/levitra-generieke-kopen-online\/\">ed-nederland.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fran\u00e7ois-Henri Pinault<\/strong>, Chairman and CEO, is delighted with these excellent results: &#8220;<em>Kering has achieved excellent performance in 2021, consolidating its leading role in the future of Luxury Goods.
