Sales growth could be as high this year as in 2021,<\/em>&#8221; said <strong>Detlev von Platen<\/strong>, a member of Porsche&#8217;s Board of Management.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The automaker, which is part of <strong>Volkswagen<\/strong>, increased sales by 11 percent last year to 301,915 units, which means it could exceed <strong>335,000 units this year if growth continues at the same pace<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Van Platen said Porsche wants to hire 400 more workers, adding to its 40,000 employees. &#8220;<em>Waiting times can be several months, in some cases up to a year,<\/em>&#8221; he added.
