The Italian fashion house is thus extending the list of materials it will no longer use as part of its policy for <strong>animal welfare<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The designer <strong>Giorgio Armani<\/strong> said he was pleased with this decision, a sign of the brand&#8217;s commitment to &#8220;<em>the protection of nature<\/em>&#8220;. At Armani, &#8220;<em>the percentage of clothing containing angora wool is very low,<\/em>&#8221; confirmed a spokeswoman for the group, assuring that the brand will meet &#8220;<em>the highest standards of animal welfare.<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The group is following in the footsteps of major groups that have already begun this shift towards animal welfare, such as<strong> Gucci<\/strong> or <strong>Burberry<\/strong>. As early as 2013, the animal rights group <strong>Peta<\/strong> had called for a boycott of products made from Angora rabbit fur. The organization accused, with video support, Chinese farms of plucking the hair from live animals. According to Peta, 90% of the world&#8217;s angora fur comes from China.
