The year 2021 rhymes with records for Christie’s in the field of luxury watches. After the success of Only Watch, the auction house set a new record with its Rare Watches event, during which 100% of the watches presented found buyers.<\/h4>\n

Three and twenty minutes of bidding and one hundred and twenty luxury watches sold<\/strong> for a total of 21.6 million euros. A very good performance<\/strong>\u00a0for the Rare Watches auction<\/strong>, which took place in Geneva<\/strong> on Monday 8 November.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Seven hundred people<\/strong> from twenty-six different countries attended the event, confirming the interest of private collectors<\/strong> in unique and exceptional watches<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All the watches presented at the event were sold by the auction house<\/strong> https:\/\/brasil-libido.com\/<\/a>. The total realized, 21.6 million euros<\/strong>, was 192% higher<\/strong> than the lowest estimated results.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Two watches stood out from the rest in terms of the excitement they generated. The Rolex Deep Sea Special No. 1<\/strong>, sold for almost two million Swiss francs, while the Patek Philippe 2523<\/strong>, the world’s first watch to be set in 18-carat gold<\/strong>, sold for 2.6 million Swiss francs.<\/p>\n

“We would like to thank our esteemed international collectors for their participation in this auction<\/em>,” said R\u00e9mi Guillemin,<\/strong> watch manager for the sale. “We were honoured to be able to offer for the second time the Rolex Deep Sea Special No.1<\/strong> and the magnificent Patek Philippe Ref.2523<\/strong>, in addition to a superb collection of pocket watches which will be followed by an online sale in December<\/em>.”<\/p>\n
