And yet, there has been no shortage of names for this tournament: it began as the <strong>Paris Open<\/strong> in 1969, briefly as the <strong>Open Jean Becker<\/strong> and then the <strong>Open Crocodile<\/strong>, followed by the <strong>Open \/ Masters de Paris-Bercy<\/strong> in 1986, and was renamed the <strong>BNP Paribas Masters Paris<\/strong> from 2001 to 2016.
