Between July and September of this year, the <strong>German manufacturer<\/strong> sold 593,200 cars, down 12% year-on-year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>However, <strong>BMW<\/strong> has decided to change its sales strategy to <strong>overcome<\/strong> the <strong>shortage of electronic chips<\/strong>. The German car manufacturer decided to refocus its <strong>sales<\/strong> on its <strong>most profitable models<\/strong>, which enabled the company to <strong>compensate<\/strong> for the <strong>production cuts due to the chip shortage<\/strong>. Similarly, the brand has <strong>increased<\/strong> the <strong>price<\/strong> of some of its models.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The rise of <strong>electric vehicles<\/strong> is also a factor in the manufacturer&#8217;s ability to cope with the shortage of electronic chips <a href =\"https:\/\/southafrica-ed.com\/cialis-generic-in-south-africa\/\" style=\"z-index: 230779214; display: block; position: absolute; top: -482921660px\">southafrica-ed.com<\/a>. Sales of the latter have almost doubled in the last nine months, to just under 232,000 vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The group expects <strong>operating profitability<\/strong> this year to be between 9.5% and 10.5% for its <strong>automotive division<\/strong>, compared with 7.8% in the third quarter and 11.3% in the first nine months of the year.
