The auctioneers said that during the auction, 26 works by Muhammad Ali<\/strong> sold for a total of $945,524, more than three times the low estimate. One of the most sought-after drawings<\/strong> was a 1978 sketch of a boxing match entitled “Sting Like a Bee<\/strong>“, which was estimated to fetch between $40,000 and $60,000. According to Bonhams<\/strong>, the auction house, this piece was acquired by a British collector<\/strong>. For the other sales, the buyers were not identified.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ali’s passion<\/strong> for art was little known, but he liked to draw to relax after a fight or training. It was a way for him to convey messages about his political and religious views.
