Featured photo Getty Images

Since then, each James Bond actor has worn his own luxury watch, as if to mark his brand and influence on the role with a subtle detail. Following in Sean Connery’s footsteps, actor George Lazenby, who played the British agent very briefly in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service in 1969, wore a 6238 Rolex Chronograph, which was very popular in the motor sport world at the time. The one that appeared on the screen was unique in that it was redesigned at the request of the producers to incorporate a red second hand that also served as James Bond‘s secret compass.

With Roger Moore in 1973, James Bond‘s watches changed their nature and became real gadgets thanks to the Q section. In Live and Let Die, the Rolex Submariner 5513 worn by the secret agent is equipped with a very powerful magnet and its own circular saw. Roger Moore also wears a Hamilton Pulsar or a Seiko 0674 LC in The Spy Who Loved Me, each with its own Q feature.

Then the performers, and therefore the watches, followed one another on the screen. In 1987’s The Living Daylights, Timothy Dalton, who played a darker James Bond more faithful to the original character, wore a TAG Heuer Professional, before returning to a Rolex 16610 in Licence to Kill. Pierce Brosman wears an Omega Seamaster 300M Quartz Professional 2541.80.00 in Goldeneye.

Since 2006, Daniel Craig has worn several different models, from the Seamaster Diver 300M to the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Master in Spectre, always modified by the Q section. In No time to die, fans will be able to spot three Omega watches. Bond wears the ultra-light Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition, new agent Nomi (Lashana Lynch) wears a 38mm Seamaster Aqua Terra with a black dial and matching NATO strap, while Moneypenny (played by Naomie Harris) wears a 27.4mm De Ville Prestige with a fir green leather strap.
