In both fashion and jewelry, a meticulously managed value chain can greatly facilitate the production of exceptional pieces. <a href=\"https:\/\/luxus-plus.com\/en\/chanel-acquires-charvet-a-new-strategy-tailored-to-perfection\/\">Just as Chanel did with its acquisition of the Charvet shirtmaker<\/a> in early July, <b>the jeweler Chaumet has just acquired B.M.C S.p.A., an Italian manufacturer <\/b>based in Valenza, Piedmont.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>The Paris-based company, part of the LVMH group, has moved up this acquisition by two years<\/b>. It was initially scheduled for 2028. According to the manufacturer\u2019s website, Chaumet had held a partial stake in the company since 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2001 by Carlo Massavelli and Maurizio Bozza, <b>B.M.C S.p.A employs approximately 330 people, according to the manufacturer<\/b>, which operates two production facilities. Its headquarters are located in <b>Valenza, a key hub for Italian jewelry<\/b>, while its second factory is based in Sesto Calende, northwest of Milan and more than 100 kilometers from Valenza.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Not an isolated case<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, <b>the company reported revenue of 65.11 million euros<\/b>, up from 61.1 million the previous year, according to Fashion Network, <b>representing an increase of approximately 6.6%<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to the industry publication, this acquisition comes at a time when <b>luxury brands are seeking to secure their supply chains<\/b> and position themselves as major competitors.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Last March, the <b>Kering Group announced that it had \u201cfinalized its initial 20% stake in Raselli Franco Group<\/b>, one of Europe\u2019s largest independent luxury jewelry manufacturers, for 115 million euros.\u201d \u201cIn accordance with the announced terms, the agreement sets out a specific timeline for its full acquisition by 2032,\u201d the giant added regarding the company, which is also based in Valenza.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Luca de Meo, CEO of LVMH\u2019s competitor, announced the creation of a division bringing together the conglomerate\u2019s jewelry houses, named <b>Kering Jewelry (Boucheron, Pomellato, DoDo, and Qeelin)<\/b>.
