Porsche is off to a difficult start to the year, with deliveries declining due to a model lineup refresh and a slowdown in certain markets. Nevertheless, the legendary 911 is an exception, posting an increase in sales.<\/h4>\n

The German automaker closed the first half of 2026 with 122,306 vehicles delivered<\/strong>, compared to 146,391<\/strong> during the same period in 2025. This 16%<\/strong> decline was, however, anticipated by the brand, which emphasizes that it is part of a transition in its product portfolio and shifts in the global automotive market.<\/p>\n

According to Matthias Becker<\/strong>, a member of the Porsche AG Executive Board responsible for sales and marketing, this 16% decline<\/strong> is nonetheless consistent with the targets set at the beginning of the year: \u201cWith approximately 122,000 vehicles delivered to our customers in the first half of 2026, we are below the figures recorded during the same period last year, but in line with our forecasts. Recently unveiled new models, such as the 911 GT3 S\/C and the Taycan\u2019s E-Shift system with virtual gear shifts, will also delight Porsche enthusiasts around the world. We are already receiving very positive feedback from the automotive press<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Model lineup transitions impacting deliveries<\/h2>\n

This decline in volumes stems primarily from the permanent discontinuation of production of the 718 Boxster and Cayman with internal combustion engines<\/strong>, the last of which rolled off the production lines in October 2025. This discontinuation has reduced delivery volumes for the model line, which recorded only 2,789 units<\/strong> in the first six months of the year\u2014a drop of 73%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
