The world\u2019s major financial markets are trading steadily this Wednesday, reassured by the announced end to the conflict between the United States and Iran, while Asia continues to post strong gains.<\/h4>\n

Easing geopolitical tensions, questions about U.S. inflation, a surge in IPOs in Hong Kong, and a new record high for the Nikkei <\/strong>: markets have seen numerous twists and turns in recent days, leading some major European financial markets to adopt a cautious stance this Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Markets are also awaiting the U.S. central bank\u2019s decision on its key interest rates, as well as guidance from Jerome Powell regarding the monetary policy path for the coming months.<\/p>\n

At the open, the CAC 40 was trading around 8,450 points, essentially flat, while the German DAX fell 0.24% to 24,850 points<\/strong> due to a decline in auto stocks. The Euro Stoxx 50 gained 0.26%, while London\u2019s FTSE 100 fell 0.10%<\/strong>. In contrast, the Amsterdam AEX rose 0.53%,<\/strong> posting the strongest start among the continent\u2019s major markets.<\/p>\n

Oil under scrutiny, gold rises<\/h2>\n

The prospect of a gradual normalization of oil flows, following the easing of U.S.-Iranian tensions, has contributed to the recent decline in Brent prices, which have returned to around $82 per barrel<\/strong> after several weeks of high tensions. This easing of tensions is a relief for European markets, which are particularly dependent on energy imports, and is helping to reduce inflation expectations.<\/p>\n
