The luxury goods house on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honor\u00e9 achieved the highest valuation in Kantar\u2019s 2026 ranking of the top 50 French brands, which combines financial data with insights from its consumer studies. Herm\u00e8s\u2019 valuation thus accounts for nearly a quarter of the total cumulative valuations of this Top 50.<\/h4>\n

Louis Vuitton<\/b> certainly cannot rest on its laurels\u2026<\/p>\n

Herm\u00e8s has just snatched the top spot from it in the latest 2026 BrandZ ranking of the 50 most powerful French brands<\/b>, unveiled every April by Kantar<\/b>. The leather goods house on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honor\u00e9 was valued at $113 billion<\/b>, compared to $87.5 billion for LVMH\u2019s flagship brand, which has thus been demoted to second place\u2014the same ranking Herm\u00e8s held in 2025.<\/p>\n

Already dethroned by Chanel<\/h2>\n

Last January and September, Louis Vuitton<\/b> had already been dethroned by another luxury house, this time Chanel, in two rankings compiled by the London-based firm Brand Finance<\/b>\u2014the first covering the world\u2019s 500 most valuable brands across all sectors<\/b>, and the second focusing on the 50 most valuable apparel and accessories brands in the world<\/b>.<\/p>\n
