The Japanese jewelry brand has appointed to its top position an expert in the luxury sector and the Japanese market, who previously held a leadership role at Chanel in Japan for many years. Acquired in late 2024 by FountainVest Partners Co. and Unison Capital, Tasaki is also strengthening its governance with two executives who have worked at other luxury houses. The goal: to expand its international presence, with Europe as a priority target.<\/h4>\n

A year and a half after its acquisition by private equity firms FountainVest Partners Co<\/b>. and Unison Capital, Tasaki<\/b> is strengthening its governance. The goal for the Japanese luxury jeweler, a specialist in cultured pearls founded in 1954, is to expand its international reach.<\/p>\n

The most significant move in this management overhaul is the appointment of Frenchman Richard Collasse as global CEO<\/b>, who held the same position at Chanel Japan<\/b> for 23 years. Replacing Toshikazu Tajima, who remains chairman<\/b>, he will be responsible for overseeing the brand\u2019s global strategy and the group\u2019s worldwide operations.<\/p>\n

Toshikazu Tajima<\/b> will continue to \u201censure strategic continuity<\/b> from a long-term perspective, based on his deep conviction in the brand.\u201d As CEO since 2009, he had already \u201cled Tasaki\u2019s transformation<\/strong>, notably the company\u2019s name change (formerly Tasaki & Co, ed.) and the implementation of its international expansion strategy\u201d and \u201csignificantly contributed to strengthening the brand\u2019s creative identity through rebranding and the overhaul of retail strategies in key domestic and international markets.\u201d<\/p>\n
