All 95 Dior Haute Couture outfits from the personal collection of collector Mouna Ayoub found new owners. Entrusted to Maurice Auction and Kerry Taylor Auctions, the auction, which closed on January 29, set four new world records, including one for Haute Couture sales and one for a Dior Haute Couture dress by John Galliano.<\/h4>\n

A major Haute Couture collector for forty years<\/b>, Mouna Ayoub<\/b> put part of her personal collection up for sale at the end of January. This exceptional sale was entrusted to the Parisian auction house Maurice Auction<\/b> and Kerry Taylor Auctions<\/b>, based in London, which have been holding two Fashion & Haute Couture sales per year<\/b> since the first half of 2022.<\/p>\n

95 outfits<\/b> were first exhibited to the public at the Bristol Hotel before the historic auction<\/b>, which was historic both for the quality of the pieces selected<\/b> by the Franco-Lebanese businesswoman and for the sums committed under the hammer.<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

One buyer went so far as to pay \u20ac663,000<\/strong> to get their hands on one of the dresses presented by John Galliano<\/strong> during his highly controversial Spring-Summer 2000 \u201cClochard\u201d collection<\/strong>. This was one of four records set at the event.<\/p>\n

More than \u20ac6 millions obtained<\/h2>\n

For several years now, fashion items and accessories<\/b>, particularly those from the biggest luxury brands, have seen their prices skyrocket at auction<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The Dior Haute Couture collection by Mouna Ayoub will go down in history<\/b> for more than one reason. Firstly, by setting the world record for a Haute Couture sale<\/b>, where the sale of 95 outfits raised \u20ac6,187,610<\/b>. \u201cI am delighted with this historic sale; it will be remembered for decades to come,\u201d said the collector.<\/b><\/p>\n
