The intellectual property rights of the online retailer and its fashion brand, Raey, have been acquired by entrepreneurs Joe Wilkinson and Mario Maher. They plan to relaunch the brand next year as part of a new luxury group called Hulcan. The latter will also include the start-up Mile, a private buying club offering access to luxury products at reduced prices, which they have already co-founded.<\/h4>\n

Almost a year after closing its doors, the London-based luxury portal will rise from the ashes in 2026.<\/b><\/p>\n

A new luxury group called Hulcan, founded by Joe Wilkinson and Mario Maher, announced on December 17 that it had acquired the intellectual property rights of the online retailer and its fashion brand, Raey. The duo’s intention is to lay \u201cthe foundations for the modern, connected luxury group we are building,\u201d Mario Maher explained in a statement.<\/p>\n

$150 million<\/h2>\n

To support their ambitions, the entrepreneurial duo has secured significant funding, reportedly $150 million<\/b>, backed by heavyweight investors including LVMH Luxury Ventures, the Herm\u00e8s family, Frasers Group, Francesco Ragazzi, founder of Palm Angels, and PagsGroup<\/b>. Investors who had already contributed to the Mile app, previously developed by Joe Wilkinson and Mario Maher, including Antler, Stefano Rosso, and Carmen Busquets, also participated in the funding round.<\/p>\n
