The Comit\u00e9 Colbert, the association responsible for promoting and defending French luxury brands, welcomes two new members from the world of beauty. Following Diptyque and the Grand Palais last July, Biologique Recherche and Carita (L’Or\u00e9al Group) are now joining its ranks.<\/h4>\n

<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A major player in the promotion, defense, and enhancement of French luxury brands<\/b> since its creation by Jean-Jacques Guerlain in 1954, the Comit\u00e9 Colbert<\/b> already had more than 96 member Houses<\/b>, representing all the dynamism and diversity of the sector’s professions.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, compared to fashion and accessories, hospitality, and wines and spirits, and although perfume houses are well represented within the Committee, the beauty and skincare sector is one of the least well represented of the 14 professions defended by the association<\/b> (perfumery, jewelry, fashion, goldsmithing, gastronomy, design, music, decoration, etc.).<\/p>\n

The arrival of Biologique Recherche and Carita<\/b> will therefore give greater visibility to a sector that has demonstrated its resilience since the pandemic.<\/b><\/p>\n

A poorly represented beauty sector<\/h2>\n

Until now, the Comit\u00e9 Colbert<\/b> has mainly included perfume houses that have successfully diversified into skincare<\/b>, such as Guerlain, Lanc\u00f4me<\/b>, and Yves Saint Laurent Beaut\u00e9<\/b>, the cosmetics and perfume subsidiary of the Parisian fashion house.<\/p>\n
