The epicenter of fashion week and the setting for open-air cinema in the summer, the inner courtyard of this Parisian palace has also been buzzing every winter for more than 20 years with a mountain atmosphere and snow-capped peaks. From November 27, 2025, to January 31, 2026, the Plaza Ath\u00e9n\u00e9e will once again welcome its seasonal gourmet chalet and famous ice rink.<\/h4>\n

As the holiday season approaches, an immersive experience<\/b> has been available exclusively by reservation<\/b> since the mid-2000s<\/strong>: the Plaza Ath\u00e9n\u00e9e chalet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This seasonal installation in the heart of Paris<\/strong>, in the purest Savoyard style, takes up residence every winter in the courtyard garden<\/strong> of the prestigious hotel on Avenue Montaigne.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A wildly exotic experience is on the program, with a culinary component based on Alpine specialties<\/strong>, including the famous raclette made with raw milk.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether it’s a romantic dinner for two or a gathering with friends, every evening around twenty guests will have the opportunity to enjoy an exceptional dinner in the magical atmosphere of La Cour Jardin<\/b>,\u201d says the press release.<\/p>\n

An enchanting mountain setting<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

Visitors are first welcomed with a glass of Veuve Clicquot La Dame 2018<\/b> champagne before the more adventurous among them can put on the ice skates<\/b> provided and try out the hotel’s 100 m\u00b2 ice rink<\/b>, which is reserved for guests of the gourmet chalet from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.<\/b><\/p>\n

They are then invited to join the chalet, decorated with immaculate furs, a large chandelier, and retro posters<\/b>. This unusual and temporary annex can accommodate around twenty guests around a large table d’h\u00f4te in a warm and intimate atmosphere<\/b>. It should be noted that young skaters (aged 3 to 12) can take to the ice rink during the day in exchange for a snack (\u20ac75 per person).<\/p>\n

The menu, priced at \u20ac225<\/b> per person, unapologetically revisits the codes of Alpine cuisine<\/b>, notably the traditional recipe for raclette made with raw milk<\/b>, accompanied by a selection of charcuterie.<\/p>\n

The meal ends on a high note with a chocolate fondue<\/b>\u2014deliciously nostalgic and irresistible\u2014reinterpreted by the hotel’s pastry chefs, Angelo Musa and Elisabeth Hot.<\/b><\/p>\n

The continuation of the Mauviel 1830 partnership<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

Since 2023<\/b>,the Parisian palace has been partnering with Mauviel 1830<\/b>, abrand of high-end cookware<\/b> made in Normandy<\/b>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The brand, already integrated into the art of hospitality at the Plaza Ath\u00e9n\u00e9e, showcases its expertise throughout the gourmet chalet menu. This allows guests to enjoy these recipes in exceptional raclette and fondue sets, entirely crafted in its Normandy workshops.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrue to the spirit of a family home<\/b>, the iconic pieces<\/b>, combining heritage and modernity, will once again be showcased on the large dining table and displayed on the walls of the chalet<\/b>,\u201d the press release adds.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that Jean Imbert<\/strong>, who had offered his first dining experience for the Plaza Ath\u00e9n\u00e9e in 2021<\/strong>, has stepped back from his collaboration<\/strong> amid accusations of domestic violence<\/strong> from four of his ex-partners. As chef of the gourmet restaurant and the Relais Plaza, he had previously concocted the menu for the gourmet chalet himself.<\/p>\n
