For the second year running, LUXUS PLUS is partnering with London Packaging Week. This must-attend event for the packaging industry, covering everything from luxury goods to cosmetics and food & beverages, will take place in the English capital at the Excel Expo Centre on October 15 and 16. Don’t miss the two round tables hosted by Claire Domergue, publishing director of LUXUS PLUS. You will find British watchmaker Br\u00e9mont and another compatriot, car manufacturer Bentley Motors, not to mention Parisian creative agency Carr\u00e9 Basset.<\/h4>\n

Becoming iconic<\/b> is something many brands dream of, but few achieve in the long term, as Bentley and, more recently, Br\u00e9mont<\/b> have done. In this era of \u201cluxury fatigue,\u201d we thought it would be useful to revisit the keys to the desirability of certain iconic brands.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For London Packaging Week, Claire Domergue, publishing director of LUXUS PLUS, will host two round tables on Wednesday, October 15, the opening day.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The first, at 12:30 p.m.<\/b>, will focus on \u201cThe best of British: promoting, protecting, and developing iconic luxury brands.\u201d<\/b> Claire Domergue will welcome Davide Cerrato, CEO of Br\u00e9mont<\/b>, a watchmaker founded in 2002 that stands out for its \u201cBritish-Made\u201d creations (manufactured in England). The Henley-on-Thames (Oxfordshire)-based company has just unveiled a special box for its Longitude 40 mm model, made of natural walnut engraved with the Longitude globe motif and inlaid with solid brass.<\/p>\n

The round table will also feature Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Weber, founding partner and creative director of Father, a studio of creative musicians and sound designers based in Camberwell, London, and Vincent Villeger, creative director of the eponymous consulting firm specializing in luxury packaging design (particularly fashion and accessories, as well as perfumes, beauty, and cosmetics).<\/p>\n

In a second round table discussion at 1:30 p.m.<\/b>, entitled \u201cBecoming the Future: Unveiling a New Icon, a Bold Vision of Tomorrow in the Field of Perfumes and Design\u201d<\/b>, Ben Saltmer, Head of Lifestyle and Design at Bentley Motors<\/b>, will discuss the British car manufacturer’s extensive creative range of furniture\u2014developed in collaboration with Luxury Living Group\u2014which includes both interior design and fragrances. This little-known branch of the House, based in York (North Yorkshire), is also behind the exclusive Hyde Picnic capsule collection, developed in its Tuscan workshops.<\/p>\n

In this first range of high-end picnic essentials, each piece is woven from 3,000 hand-knotted threads, forming the iconic Diamond pattern from recycled cotton yarns. The capsule collection consists of a woven basket, a blanket, and a bottle holder.<\/p>\n

Alongside Bentley Motors’ Head of Lifestyle and Design, we will also hear from Camille Ten Horn, Artistic Director at Carr\u00e9 Basset, the independent creative and strategy agency based in Paris.<\/p>\n
