As the AIKON was born in 2016, becoming Maurice Lacroix\u2019s best-selling watch, the Swiss watchmaker is unveiling a new collection called AikonIC. Innovation, exceptional materials, and artisanal craftsmanship are at the heart of this line.<\/h4>\n

Building on the success of the AIKON timepiece, which quickly found its audience upon its launch almost ten years ago, Maurice Lacroix continues to expand its portfolio with AikonIC. \u201cThe AIKON has been a tremendous success for our company, and we hope this will continue for many years. With the AikonIC, we wanted to showcase our know-how by creating a watch that combines innovative craftsmanship with locally sourced components,\u201d explained St\u00e9phane Waser, Managing Director of Maurice Lacroix.<\/p>\n

Sport and elegance<\/h2>\n

The AikonIC stands out thanks to its carbon dial, a material more commonly used in haute horlogerie. With its dynamic lines in shades of grey and black, the dial was created in collaboration with a specialized company located just 40 kilometers from the Saignel\u00e9gier manufacture, the small Swiss town where Maurice Lacroix is based. Meanwhile, the ML1000 caliber was developed by the Soprod workshop, just 10 km away.<\/p>\n

Signature details from the original 2016 model remain, such as the six double-width arms adorning the bezel, lending harmony to the collection. The bezel and crown are crafted from matte ceramic, resistant to scratches and the passage of time. Completing the design is a 43 mm steel case alternating between polished and vertically brushed surfaces, water-resistant to 100 meters. The open caseback features sapphire crystal, while the flanks are designed with evolving chamfers that capture the light.<\/p>\n

To enhance the sporty style, the watch comes with a rubber strap (available in black, blue, or turquoise), making it versatile and ideal for everyday wear. Thanks to the patented ML Easy Change system, the strap can be swapped out effortlessly, attaching to the case with polished fixtures.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe result is a highly specialized model, defined by new materials, fresh ideas, and an elevated level of finishing\u2014ultimately creating a watch with the distinctive character of the Jura that delivers accessible excellence,\u201d commented St\u00e9phane Waser. The AikonIC now joins other emblematic creations of the brand, founded in 1975, such as the Masterpiece Square Wheel (2010), the Masterpiece Mysterious Seconds (2013), and the Triple Retrograde (2021).<\/p>\n
