R\u00e9my Cointreau is more optimistic about the 2025-2026 financial year after several months of uncertainty. The agreement reached between Washington and Brussels on customs duties, capped at 15% from August 1, significantly reduces the bill for the French group.<\/h4>\n

The impact on R\u00e9my Cointreau’s current operating income is now estimated at \u20ac30 million<\/strong>, compared with \u20ac45 million previously anticipated. The US market<\/strong>, the leading consumer of cognac, has seen its cost revised downwards from \u20ac35 million to \u20ac20 million, while China remains stable at \u20ac10 million<\/strong>. This improvement has enabled the group to revise its forecast for the decline in operating income.<\/p>\n

A renewed growth strategy<\/h2>\n

Despite a global context marked by slowing spirits consumption in China and persistent uncertainty in the United States, R\u00e9my Cointreau confirms its ambition to return to organic revenue growth of several percent. The first signs are encouraging : in the first quarter of the fiscal year, sales grew by 5.7% organically.<\/strong> Management believes that the second quarter will benefit from a technical catch-up effect in the US market, offering a more solid outlook.<\/p>\n
