Global stock markets sluggish on Wednesday, buoyed by feverish anticipation of results from US giant Nvidia. However, political instability in France and controversy over the independence of the US Federal Reserve are maintaining a climate of uncertainty.<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

In Europe<\/strong>, indices attempt a cautious rebound. At the opening, the CAC 40<\/strong> rose 0.30% to 7,732.98 points, after two sessions of sharp declines. The Frankfurt Dax<\/strong> advanced 0.15%, while the London FTSE 100<\/strong> gained 0.36%. The pan-European Stoxx 600<\/strong> index was up 0.30%.<\/p>\n

On Wall Street<\/strong> the previous day, the markets had closed in positive territory : the Dow Jones<\/strong> gained 0.30%, the S&P 500<\/strong> 0.41% and the Nasdaq<\/strong> 0.44%.<\/p>\n

In Asia<\/strong>, results were mixed : Tokyo’s Nikkei<\/strong> gained 0.3%, buoyed by technology stocks, while Shanghai<\/strong> (-0.93%) and Hong Kong<\/strong> (-0.71%) ended lower.<\/p>\n
