Armani has been fined \u20ac3.5 million by the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) for making statements about ethical and social responsibility that contradicted the working conditions of its subcontractors. The Italian group is appealing the decision. Dior, which was also investigated, was cleared but forced to pay a fine to the victims of its subcontractors.<\/h4>\n

The Italian Competition and Market Authority (Agcm) has fined Giorgio Armani \u20ac3.5 million for statements on ethical and social responsibility that did not correspond to the actual working conditions of its suppliers.<\/p>\n

Dior cleared<\/strong><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

Last May, Dior,<\/b> itself suspected of similar practices, was cleared<\/b> by the courts. However, the flagship brand of the LVMH group was ordered to provide \u20ac2 million in financial support to the victims<\/b> and to select and monitor its suppliers more strictly.<\/b><\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n
