R\u00e9my Cointreau has found a successor to its CEO Eric Vallat, who left at the end of April. The French spirits group has set its sights on Franck Marilly, currently President of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region and of the global fragrance division of Japanese beauty giant Shiseido.<\/h4>\n

On May 12, the Japanese cosmetics group announced the resignation of Franck Marilly as president of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region and of the global fragrance division. While his departure<\/b> will take effect on May 31<\/b>, he will not be replaced, but his responsibilities will be taken over by the current CEO of the beauty giant, Alberto No\u00e9, in addition to his current duties.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday<\/b>, Franck Marilly<\/b>‘s new position was revealed: he will join the management team of spirits giant R\u00e9my Cointreau, effective June 25.<\/b><\/p>\n

His solid experience in international management<\/b> should help him meet significant challenges<\/b> such as sluggish sales in the first nine months of the year and the sword of Damocles in the form of a significant increase in US customs duties for a group that owns two of the world’s most prestigious cognac brands, a quintessential export product.<\/b><\/p>\n

The outgoing CEO of the group, Eric Vallat, will ensure a smooth transition.<\/p>\n

To ensure its leadership, the R\u00e9my Cointreau<\/b> group, which owns 14 brands including Louis XIII and R\u00e9my Martin cognacs, Les Hautes Glaces and Westland Distillery whiskies, Telmont champagne and R\u00e9my Cointreau liqueur, has opted for a distinguished profile in the luxury and cosmetics<\/b> sector.<\/p>\n
