Tech and entrepreneurship professionals are gathering for the 9th edition of Vivatech<\/b>. This event promises to be \u201ca very special edition at a very special time,\u201d<\/b> said the sprightly octogenarian Maurice L\u00e9vy<\/b>, who founded the event in 2016.<\/p>\n

14,000 startups will exhibit<\/b> across 55,000 m\u00b2<\/b>, 1,000 more than last year<\/b>. This should prove the pessimists wrong about the state of the French startup ecosystem, which was hit hard last year by a drying up of investment.<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, AI will once again be at the heart of discussions. However, the context is different, as the inherent threats of its deployment are prompting calls for stronger regulation without stifling business growth.<\/p>\n

The Chinese offensive in AI<\/b>, with the company Deepseek overturning the hegemony of American<\/b> LLM (large language models), and the phenomenon of fake news<\/b>, which has caused an outcry among creatives in all sectors<\/b>, will highlight more than ever the issues of data governance and sovereignty<\/b>, as well as those related to intellectual property protection<\/b> and the future of work<\/b>.<\/p>\n

From the race for global domination to technological advances and ethical challenges, artificial intelligence is once again emerging as the flagship theme of Vivatech. The VivaTech Barometer reports that 85% of companies surveyed plan to increase their investment in AI over the coming year.<\/p>\n

However, unlike previous editions of Vivatech, the focus will be on highlighting \u201ctech leaders\u201d<\/b>, or, according to Fran\u00e7ois Bitouzet, CEO of Vivatech<\/b>, \u201cCTOs, CDOs, and all decision-makers in all companies investing in tech.\u201d The show is therefore teaming up with McKinsey and Siemens to offer a talent support program<\/b>.<\/p>\n
