After five years of activity within the R\u00e9my Cointreau group, the current CEO Eric Vallat has chosen to terminate his contract. In this context, the chair of the board of directors, Marie de Leusse, is overseeing the transition pending the appointment of a successor to the general management of the spirits giant.<\/h4>\n

In a press release dated April 9, the R\u00e9my Cointreau Group<\/b> announced the resignation of its CEO Eric Vallat<\/b>, whose departure will be effective this summer<\/b>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The group, which owns fourteen brands<\/b> including R\u00e9my Martin and Louis XIII cognacs<\/b> and R\u00e9my Cointreau liqueur<\/b>, said it has already set up \u201ca selection process<\/b>\u201d in order to \u201cappoint as soon as possible [Eric Vallat’s] successor<\/b>, who will continue the group’s value strategy with a fresh perspective, while building on the solid foundations established over the years.\u201d<\/p>\n

This process of handing over power<\/b> is supervised by the current chair of the board of directors, Marie de Leusse<\/b>. She also ensures \u201cthe continuity of the group’s activities and the proper implementation of the strategic direction\u201d.<\/p>\n

26 years in luxury<\/h2>\n

Eric Vallat<\/b> took over as head of R\u00e9my Cointreau<\/b> in 2019. In fact, the current CEO joined the group in January 2014<\/b> as CEO of the great cognac house R\u00e9my Martin<\/b>, a position he held for six years<\/b>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The chairwoman of the board of directors of the R\u00e9my Cointreau group, Marie de Leusse<\/b>, praised his commitment, leadership and strategic vision.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

His term of office<\/b> was marked by the pandemic<\/b>, which saw a strong resilience in spirits sales<\/b> over the period in China, followed by three years of record post-COVID sales in the United States<\/b>. And this, before giving way to a more uncertain environment<\/b>.<\/p>\n
