This is how the life and death of Clergerie<\/b> could be summarized. The iconic French company was finally liquidated<\/b> on Tuesday, April 8 by the commercial court of Romans-sur-Is\u00e8re. Clergerie was the last representative of luxury footwear in Romans sur Is\u00e8re,<\/b> once a thriving center for this leather accessory.<\/p>\n

Only one takeover bid<\/h2>\n

After being placed in receivership on December 4, Clergerie had nevertheless attracted a dozen expressions of interest, according to the local press. However, in the end, only one potential buyer<\/b> had made an offer deemed \u201cserious\u201d. Joseph L\u00e9vy, a minority shareholder in two of the three companies that made up the brand<\/b> (JHJ, in compulsory liquidation since March, and Tiger Mode, in receivership) had offered to take over the latter, but by relocating Clergerie’s production.<\/b><\/p>\n
