After the rebound in January, Swiss watch exports fell again in February, against the backdrop of a downturn in the United States and Japan.<\/h4>\n

The rebound in January (+4.1%) of Swiss watch exports<\/b>, driven by the American and Japanese markets, did not last. After four consecutive months of decline, it offered only brief hope…<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

According to the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry (FH)<\/b>, international sales of Swiss timepieces fell sharply again in February (-8.2%<\/b> to 1.8 billion Swiss francs), \u201cdespite a favorable base effect\u201d, against the backdrop of a downturn in the United States and Japan.<\/p>\n

Over the first two months<\/b> of the year, the decline in value<\/b> was 2.4%<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Fall in the United States and Japan<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

The United States, the leading foreign market for Swiss<\/b> watchmaking, thus fell by 6.7%<\/b> to 340.3 million Swiss francs. However, they had recovered strongly (+16.2%) in January<\/b> after the slight decline in December 2024 (-1%), which followed six months of uninterrupted growth.<\/p>\n
