The French specialist in licensed fragrances (Coach, Monblanc, Lacoste, etc.) has just bought Maison Goutal, an iconic French Haute Parfumerie brand. An evolution of its strategy that it justifies by the potential it sees in this sleeping beauty and in its segment.<\/h4>\n

But this time, the French group Interparfums, a specialist in fragrances,<\/b> announced on Tuesday, March 18, that it had acquired \u201call intellectual property rights relating to Maison Goutal held by Amorepacific Europe worldwide.<\/b>\u201d The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.<\/p>\n

Under the agreement, the Korean group Amorepacific Europe will retain the license to operate the brand until the end of 2026 or beginning of 2027<\/b>, before Interparfums, which \u201cwill begin to develop the brand from 2026 in collaboration with its licensee\u201d , takes full control.<\/p>\n

Amorepacific itself had acquired the French brand, founded in 1981 by Annick Goutal,<\/b> from the American investment fund Starwood Capital<\/b> in 2011. Starwood Capital had owned the brand since 2005. In 2018,<\/b> the Annick Goutal brand was renamed Maison Goutal<\/b> to give itself a more modern image and better approach exports.<\/p>\n
