By joining the Comit\u00e9 Colbert<\/strong>, Messika has made official its move into luxury<\/strong>, which began twelve years ago with its first haute joaillerie<\/strong> collection. Since 2022, this annual collection has had its own fashion show<\/strong>, whose execution and the buzz generated at the height of Fashion Week are reminiscent of those of Chanel (where the founder once worked) and L’Or\u00e9al Paris.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Having succeeded over the past twenty years <\/strong>in achieving the tour de force of combining the timelessness of diamonds with modernity<\/strong>, the Parisian House founded by Val\u00e9rie Messika, herself the daughter of a diamond-maker, was bound to win over the Comit\u00e9 Colbert<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A unique collective in France, its mission<\/strong> has remained unchanged since it was founded in 1954 by Jean-Jacques Guerlain: \u201ctopassionately promote, sustainably develop and patiently pass on French know-how and creation in order to inspire dreams.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n As of January 1, 2025<\/strong>, the Comit\u00e9 Colbert includes 96 French luxury goods companies, 18 cultural institutions and 6 European members.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n At the start of 2025, the Comit\u00e9 Colbert welcomes the House founded by the eponymous designer, Val\u00e9rie Messika<\/strong>. A significant year, since it was twenty years ago<\/strong> that Val\u00e9rie Messika, daughter of the famous diamond merchant Andr\u00e9 Messika, founded her own jewelry house.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n In other words, Messika appears to be the youngest member of the jewellery committee,<\/strong> judging by Mellerio (1613), Cartier (1847), Boucheron (1858), Zolotas (1895) and Van Cleef & Arpels (1906).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A youth that the jewelry house shares with Baumer – Place Vend\u00f4me (1992)<\/strong>, thirteen years his senior, founded by one of his idols, Lorenz Baumer<\/strong>. Her other inspirational figure<\/strong> is Maison Chanel<\/strong> (1912), obviously one of the Comit\u00e9 Colbert’s tutelary members.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Founder and artistic director of the House, Val\u00e9rie Messika<\/strong> declared herself \u201c proud and happy to join the Comit\u00e9 Colbert<\/strong>, which is the voice of French know-how and excellence<\/strong>. It’s an honor to be able to contribute to its edifice.
