The \u201cLIFE 360 in Stores Awards\u201d<\/strong>, awarded every two years<\/strong>, highlight the points of sale in the LVMH Group portfolio (directly-operated boutiques, shopping malls and department stores)<\/strong> that have taken the most virtuous and innovative initiatives to improve their environmental performance<\/strong>. The awards are based on an external audit carried out by the independent agency TERAO.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This fifth edition<\/strong> is marked by the creation of four new awards<\/strong>, including those for well-being and training<\/strong>. These awards confirm the Number One luxury brand’s growing interest in the human factor.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The LIFE 360 in Stores Awards 2024 come a year after<\/strong> the LVMH Group’s major environmental event. Last year, the Number One in luxury goods invited the press, employees and stakeholders to UNESCO<\/strong> for its LIFE 360 Summit<\/strong>, to take stock of its progress in sustainability and carbon impact reduction<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Now, one year on, the time has come for caution and humility in the face of a turbulent economic landscape,<\/strong> as Antoine Arnault, Image & Environment Director for the LVMH Group<\/strong>, testified. “Times have been a bit tough this year.<\/em> Our business is not as buoyant as it used to be.<\/em> In the end, our fundamentals remain solid and are well positioned.<\/em> But let’s be honest, it’s not the best year for our sector, nor for our group.<\/strong><\/em> However, the good news is that all our Houses have remained faithful to our LIFE 360 objectives.<\/strong>“<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n As Antoine Arnault reminded us, it’s not easy to remain faithful and consistent to these objectives: \u201cThey’re difficult to achieve, they’re costly, but everyone has been faithful to them and it’s a great source of pride that our objectives have been achieved.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Valade, LVMH’s Director of Environmental Development<\/strong>, underlined the Group’s unchanged ambitions in terms of raising team awareness of the environmental cause<\/strong>. The group maintains its objective ofhaving 100% of employees trained in ecological transition by 2026<\/strong>. This statement echoes last October’s inauguration of a training campus in the Paris region in collaboration with the Vall\u00e9e de la Milli\u00e8re association and aimed at Group employees.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In addition, the Group has announced quantified targets around three key themes: energy efficiency, eco-design and waste management.<\/strong> These include achieving a minimum of 5% energy savings or carbon emission reductions per year for all shopping centers, starting in 2024, and including an eco-design checklist for renovations and new retail projects. In addition, the group and its partner Chalhoub Group aim to achieve zero landfill waste by 2030. Emaar Malls, Majid Al Futtaim and Aldar Properties, for their part, are committed to halving waste to landfill over the same period.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n \t\tStaying on course despite a difficult environment<\/h2>\n
