Swiss watchmaker Gerald Charles has teamed up with Ducati to create the Maestro 4.0 Ducati 30\u00b0 Anniversario 916 watch.<\/b> This limited-edition accessory celebrates<\/b> the 30th anniversary of the legendary supersport motorcycle of the 1990s: the Ducati 916.<\/b><\/h4>\n

On August 29, 2024 in Geneva, the Maison horlog\u00e8re Gerald Charles announced the launch of the Maestro 4.0 Ducati 30\u00b0 Anniversario 916, an exclusive watch created in collaboration with Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Ducati.<\/strong><\/b> This timepiece celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Ducati 916, a motorcycle that has made design and performance history. This timepiece combines watchmaking aesthetics with a passion for motorcycles, in a limited edition of just 250.<\/p>\n

Collaboration between design legends<\/b><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

This new model is the fruit of collaboration between the respective CEOs of Gerald Charles, Federico Ziviani, and Ducati, Claudio Domenicali.<\/strong><\/b> Both brands continue the artistic legacy of their iconic designers: G\u00e9rald Charles Genta, founder of Gerald Charles, and Massimo Tamburini, designer of the Ducati 916, launched in 1994.<\/p>\n

In a subtle tribute to the Ducati 916, this special edition incorporates finely crafted details reminiscent of the design of the Bologna-based manufacturer’s iconic motorcycle. The watch’s jumping hour disc, for example, is inspired by the Ducati’s three-spoke bronze rim, offering a unique aesthetic connection between the two worlds.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

The watch case, in matt black ceramic and forged carbon, is reinforced by a Grade 5 titanium crown, back and buckle, light and resistant materials also used in the motorcycle world. The watch’s movement, caliber GCA 3002JH, is entirely developed in-house, reflecting Gerald Charles’ own level of technical excellence and creativity.<\/p>\n

The sapphire crystal caseback reveals a gold rotor engraved with the Ducati 916 logo.<\/strong><\/b> And for Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 owners, it’s possible to have the bike’s serial number engraved on the watch case, adding a personal touch to each piece.<\/p>\n

A limited edition for enthusiasts<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

For the first time in 13 years, the Swiss Maison is reintroducing the emblematic jumping-hour complication to its collection.<\/strong><\/b> This mechanism, derived from the legacy of G\u00e9rald Charles Genta, revives the brand’s historic Maestro 39 model.<\/p>\n

Finally, this timepiece offers an innovative vision. The sapphire crystal, decorated with red contours infused with SuperLuminova, ensures optimal legibility in low-light conditions.<\/p>\n
