Gucci<\/strong><\/b> continues to search for the martingale of success and the providential men<\/strong><\/b> to achieve it.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kering has just confirmed the arrival of Davide Buzzoni as head of global communications<\/strong><\/b> for its flagship House.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n He \u201cwill be directly responsible for the activities of the global press office and corporate communications<\/strong><\/b>, ensuring that the narrative is consistent and in line with Gucci<\/strong><\/b> ‘s values and vision,\u201d a House spokesperson explained to PRWeek UK<\/strong><\/b>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n He will report to Alessio Vannetti, executive vice president and director of the House.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n This announcement comes after two major changes at the head of Gucci.<\/strong><\/b> At the beginning of 2023, the company appointed Sabato De Sarno<\/strong><\/b> as Artistic Director, and a new general management tandem, consisting for the past year of CEO Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Palus,<\/strong><\/b> assisted since last May by Stefano Cantino as Deputy CEO.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n\n <\/p>\n Davide Buzzoni replaces Benjamin Cercio<\/strong><\/b>, who left the company last March. Cercio had only joined Gucci a year and a half earlier, at the end of 2022.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Like Benjamin Cercio, who came from Louis Vuitton<\/strong><\/b> where he had spent fifteen years, Davide Buzzoni is a Lvmh defector.<\/strong><\/b> Since 2018, he has been based in Milan as Global Director of Public Relations and VIPs at Loro Piana<\/strong><\/b>, the cashmere house of the world’s number one luxury brand.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Before that, this graduate in communication sciences from Milan’s Statale University<\/strong><\/b> and also…in industrial design from Genoa’s Faculty of Architecture, had also worked at Burberry<\/strong><\/b>, from 2009 to 2011, as public relations coordinator, then at Prada<\/strong><\/b>, from 2011 to 2016, as global public relations coordinator, and finally at Moncler<\/strong><\/b>, as global editorial manager, from 2016 to 2018.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In other words, \u201ca solid background in public relations and extensive experience in the luxury sector\u201d, as Gucci’s spokesperson pointed out. A background that will be invaluable in helping to restore the visibility and desirability of the House of 2 G’s, which has tarnished<\/strong><\/b> in recent times.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the first half of 2024, Gucci’s sales fell by 20%<\/strong><\/b> to \u20ac4 billion.
