Under the new management of Patrice Louvet<\/strong><\/b>, Ralph Lauren is undergoing a phase of strategic transformation<\/strong><\/b>. Results for the first quarter of fiscal 2025 reveal a mixed dynamic<\/strong><\/b>. Difficulties in North America were offset by positive results in Europe and Asia, illustrating the Group’s challenges and successes in a complex economic context. This rebalancing of strengths enabled Ralph Lauren to post a net profit<\/strong><\/b> of $169 million<\/strong><\/b>, up 27%<\/strong><\/b> on the previous year.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ralph Lauren’s first quarter<\/strong><\/b> highlights significant differences in<\/strong><\/b> regional performance. In North America<\/strong><\/b>, sales fell by 4%<\/strong><\/b> to $608 million<\/strong><\/b>. This decline was mainly due to the sales network, which posted a 13% decrease<\/strong><\/b>. E-commerce sales held up<\/strong><\/b>better, down 4%<\/strong><\/b>. Growth came from sales in physical stores<\/strong><\/b>, with a slight increase of 1%<\/strong><\/b>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n By contrast, leadership was assured by Europe<\/strong><\/b> and Asia<\/strong><\/b>, up 6%<\/strong><\/b> to $479 million and<\/strong><\/b> 4%<\/strong><\/b> to $391 million<\/strong><\/b> respectively. Sales growth on the Old Continent was underpinned by an 8% increase in sales in physical stores<\/strong><\/b> and a 14% rise in e-commerce<\/strong><\/b>. Revenues in Asia-Pacific<\/strong><\/b> were driven by e-commerce<\/strong><\/b>, with a notable rise of 21%<\/strong><\/b>, while physical outlets posted growth of 7%<\/strong><\/b>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In this region, China<\/strong><\/b> and especially Japan<\/strong><\/b> – Ralph Lauren’s largest market in Asia – stand out.
