New change for the cosmetics group Shiseido<\/strong>. As of January 1, 2025, Kentaro Fujiwara<\/strong> will head the Japanese cosmetics and beauty products company.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n He succeeds Masahiko Uotani<\/strong>, President and CEO of Shiseido since 2014.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kentaro Fujiwara has been with the Japanese group for over 30 years<\/strong>. He started his career at Shiseido in 1991<\/strong> before being appointed President of the Chinese subsidiary in 2017.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In January 2023, Kentaro Fujiwara was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer of the group. At the same time, the board of directors nominated him as a candidate for CEO in anticipation of Masahiko Uotani’s retirement.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It has been confirmed that Masahiko Uotani’s departure will not interfere with his position on Shiseido’s board of directors, where he will continue to serve as a senior advisor.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n This appointment comes in a context where numerous organizational changes have already taken place at Shiseido in recent months. At the end of 2023, the group announced new appointments and several personnel transfers to follow.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In March 2023, Shiseido revised its strategy by appointing Alberto No\u00e9<\/strong> as President and CEO of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA)<\/strong> region.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n He succeeded Franck Marilly<\/strong>, who, in turn, took on the newly created role of Chairman of the EMEA board.
