Richemont Group has just announced a change in leadership for Cartier. A flagship brand of the luxury giant, the jewelry and watchmaking Maison is preparing to welcome the Frenchman Louis Ferla<\/strong> at its helm. Currently CEO of Vacheron Constantin<\/strong>, he will succeed Cyrille Vigneron<\/strong> from September 1st, who has held the position for eight years.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Louis Ferla and Cyrille Vigneron will work side by side for a while to ensure “a smooth transition<\/em>,” according to the press release published by Richemont.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Louis Ferla joined Richemont Group in 2001, starting his career with the ready-to-wear brand Alfred Dunhill<\/strong> in Hong Kong, and then in Taipei.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In 2006, he joined Maison Cartier in the Middle East, India, and Africa, before being entrusted with the direction of the brand\u2019s activities in China. In 2015, he joined the jewelry brand’s executive committee as International Client and Business Director before being appointed CEO of Vacheron Constantin in 2017.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n He now strengthens his position within the Geneva-based group by taking the helm of Cartier. His predecessor, Cyrille Vigneron, will, from September 1st, take over the presidency of Cartier’s philanthropic foundation, as well as the presidency of the Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Nicolas Bos<\/strong>, CEO of Richemont, expressed his enthusiasm following this announcement: “I have always admired Louis’s strategic vision and inspiring management style, which have enabled him to make Vacheron Constantin one of the world’s leading luxury watchmakers.
