Monday, June 3, the house of Dior invited its guests to Scotland for its 2024-2025 cruise show. In the gardens of Drummond Castle, the silhouettes combining punk codes and Scottish traditions even evoked the spirit of Queen Mary Stuart.<\/h4>\n

The cruise show season is already well underway, and the fashion sphere continues to live out of its suitcases. From Barcelona for the Louis Vuitton collection to the Cit\u00e9 Radieuse in Marseille with Chanel, and through the British capital on invitation from Gucci and Sabato de Sarno, there is no shortage of destinations.<\/p>\n

On Monday, June 3<\/strong>, it was Dior<\/strong>‘s turn to invite the press and show-business to discover its 2024-2025 cruise collection<\/strong>. The Parisian house chose to bypass the frenzy of big cities for a getaway to Scotland. A choice that stands as a reference to the brand’s past. Indeed, the founder and creator Christian Dior<\/strong> chose to present a haute couture collection in the ballroom of the Gleneagles Hotel in 1955<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

70 years later, and just a few kilometers from the establishment, history repeats itself in the French gardens of Drummond Castle<\/strong>. Located near Edinburgh, this 14th-century estate is a most romantic setting, a true jewel of local heritage.<\/p>\n

To the sound of bagpipes, the models walked forward wearing rain boots. Sometimes smooth, these also featured punk-like buckles or came in thigh-high versions. A show in Scotland requires tartan, the star of this line imagined by Maria Grazia Chiuri<\/strong>, the creative director of Dior’s women’s collections. It was omnipresent on the silhouettes, in the form of dresses draped over the shoulders like a blanket and belted, as well as on outfits ideal for hunting.<\/p>\n
