Santa Ponsa, owned by Domaines du Fontenille and now one of the finest\u00a0hotels in the Balearic Islands<\/a>,\u00a0is housed in a former seventeenth-century palace surrounded by 100 hectares of farmland and listed gardens around the terraces.<\/strong>\u00a0The building\u2019s red facades contrast with the lush green vegetation, the blue of the swimming pool, the myriad colours of the large vegetable garden and the light-coloured stone of the hotel\u2019s walls. The same stonework can be found in the spa, housed in the old cisterns and featuring a hammam, sauna, treatment rooms, Nordic baths and various pools. A true cocoon of well-being. There are 22 rooms in the main building, the old barns and the detached houses, where the decor is stripped of all unnecessary frills, favouring rattan furniture and various shades of blue reminiscent of the sea. Santa Ponsa has a main restaurant where Spanish cuisine is king. The festive evenings and dancing around grilled meats and paellas are organised on Sundays and Mondays.<\/p>\n
