A new lease of life for Fendi<\/strong>?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n With the appointment of a promising new CEO, Lvmh is making no secret of its ambitions for its Roman Maison.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Already appointed CEO of LVMH Fashion Group<\/strong> last March, Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou<\/strong> will also take over the helm at Fendi, effective June 1.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n He will replace Serge Brunschwig, who has headed the Italian House for over six years<\/strong>, and who \u201cwill take on new responsibilities within the LVMH Group\u201d, to be announced shortly.<\/p>\n As head of LVMH Fashion Group<\/strong>, a responsibility he retains, Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou already had his eye on Fendi<\/strong>, which he oversaw along with the group’s other iconic fashion houses, namely Marc Jacobs, Kenzo, Off-White, Pucci, Patou and Stella McCartney<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Before joining Lvmh in 2019<\/strong>, 49-year-old<\/strong> Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou had already enjoyed a successful career at L’Or\u00e9al spanning more than 23 years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n\n <\/p>\n After graduating from HEC<\/strong> business school and obtaining a Master CEMS in Management from Universit\u00e0 Bocconi in Milan (Italy)<\/strong>, he held a number of different positions, culminating in the \u201cHoly Grail\u201d as Global President of the L’Or\u00e9al Paris brand<\/strong> from early 2017 to mid-2019. A position that enabled him to \u201cstrengthen the position of L’Or\u00e9al Paris\u201d as a \u201cglobal leader in the cosmetics sector\u201d.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Prior to this, Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou had perfected his knowledge of the workings of the beauty giant in France and internationally,<\/strong> on three continents. He held a variety of senior marketing and product management positions in France, Italy and Portugal<\/strong>, as well as General Manager of LaScad<\/strong> (L’Or\u00e9al’s cosmetics distribution subsidiary) in France, Global Vice President of Skincare for L’Or\u00e9al Paris<\/strong>, General Manager of the Consumer Products Division in Brazil<\/strong> from 2009 to 2013, and then in North Asia<\/strong> from 2013 to 2016.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In 2019<\/strong>, Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou joined Louis Vuitton<\/strong>, Lvmh’s flagship brand, as director of strategic missions in charge of fashion and leather goods<\/strong>. Three years later, in 2022, he became Deputy General Manager of Louis Vuitton<\/strong>, where he worked alongside the two iconic artistic directors, the late Virgil Abloh and Pharell Williams<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n At Fendi<\/strong>, he will team up with Kim Jones<\/strong>, appointed in 2020 as artistic director of women’s collections, and Silvia Venturini Fendi<\/strong>, as artistic director of men’s collections and, by interim, women’s collections when Karl Lagerfeld<\/strong> passes away in February 2029. This creates an abysmal void, since the Kaiser had been in charge for 54 years<\/strong>, transforming the Roman fashion house from a furrier to a fashion designer in its own right.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Earlier this year, Fendi announced the appointment of three new male faces<\/strong>, all young actors, for its spring-summer 2024 campaign. Taiwanese Greg Hsu, American Jeremy Pope and Italian Massimiliano Caiazzo<\/strong> have become Fendi’s new global ambassadors.
