On April 22<\/strong>, the Pernod Ricard<\/strong> group, in partnership with the Fayard<\/strong> family, owners of Ch\u00e2teau Sainte Marguerite<\/strong> in Provence, announced plans to acquire the Aux Terres de Ravel<\/strong> estate.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This transaction, scheduled for the summer, will mark a significant expansion in the C\u00f4tes-de-Provence AOC<\/strong> vineyard, adding 280 hectares to the 220 hectares already owned by Ch\u00e2teau Sainte Marguerite. Ch\u00e2teau Sainte Marguerite will thus double its surface area to over 500 hectares. This expansion is designed to boost production of Super Premium and Ultra Premium cuv\u00e9es such as Symphonie, Fantastique and Marguerite en Provence.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n “This project is designed to support our development in France and abroad,”<\/em> says Olivier Fayard<\/strong>, the estate’s managing director.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The group did not specify the amount of the acquisition.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Ravel<\/strong>, representing the Ravel family, expressed his satisfaction at seeing the family estate join Sainte Marguerite en Provence.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “We are delighted that this family heritage can join Sainte Marguerite en Provence, whose values we share and who will be able to continue to develop the estate in the spirit that has prevailed to date”.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Pernod Ricard and the Fayard family plan to increase the vineyard’s surface area to 600, or even 1,000 hectares within the next ten years<\/strong>. This growth will optimize production capacity and improve the quality and complexity of blends.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n However, increased investment in the region is causing local tensions, not least because of soaring land prices.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\nExpansion of the estate<\/h2>\n
