Luxury is once again out in force at Milan Design Week, which runs from April 15 to April 22. Even though some brands, such as Dior, Louis Vuitton and Tod’s, have opted to skip this 2024 edition, and instead focus on the Venice Biennale, which runs from April 17 to 19.<\/h4>\n

<\/p>\n

Spring 2024 in Italy is a dilemma for luxury brands<\/strong><\/b>. While more and more of them are developing their lifestyle and home universe, they are also cultivating their elitist image by multiplying their connections with art, particularly contemporary art.<\/p>\n

They’re all part of Milan’s Design Week, which kicked off on Monday April 15 and runs until April 22<\/strong><\/b>…but not all of them!<\/p>\n

Some of them, and not the least, are not taking part in the event, whose dates this year coincide with those of the 60th Venice Biennale<\/strong><\/b>, that prestigious concentrate of contemporary art, from April 17 to 19, preceded by a pre-inauguration…<\/p>\n

This year, you’ll have to go to Venice<\/strong><\/b> to admire the installations ofLouis Vuitton and Dior, the two star houses of Lvmh, the number one luxury brand, and Tod’s<\/strong><\/b>. A partner of the Italian Pavilion at the Biennale, the transalpine group is also organizing an event dedicated to Made in Italy, its hobbyhorse.<\/p>\n

Milan’s Design Week a real magnet<\/h2>\n

Be that as it may, Milan, the economic and fashion capital of Italy, retains its power of attraction with a Design Week rich in highlights and participants,<\/strong><\/b> including from the world of luxury.<\/p>\n

This year’s line-up includes major names, often loyal to the event, such as Herm\u00e8s, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Elie Saab, Isseye Miyake, Miu Miu, Missoni Loewe, Moncler, Of-White, Rimowa, Versace<\/strong><\/b>… Some of them make an appearance, such as Saint Laurent, Yves Salomon J W Anderson or MCM<\/strong><\/b>…<\/p>\n
