Bought out in 2013 by the world’s number two luxury brand, the jewelry house has just released its seventh consecutive video in defense of women’s rights. While the House also speaks out on gender equality, the power of sisterhood and the need for inclusivity, violence against women is once again its common thread.<\/p>\n
In it, 86-year-old Jane Fonda<\/strong>, author and ambassador of the Pomellato For Women program<\/strong>, speaks alongside other celebrities, including<\/strong> two other American actresses and activists<\/strong>, mental health advocate Jesse Williams and American humanitarian Lucy Hale. Ex-victims of domestic violence<\/strong> who have managed to rebuild their lives also testify.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Together, they denounce this scourge which, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), affects one in three women<\/strong> worldwide, or 736 million people. However, the WHO believes that due to the risks of high levels of stigmatization and under-reporting of sexual abuse, this figure could be much higher<\/strong>. The phenomenon is all the more serious in that this vicious circle tends to reproduce itself from generation to generation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n \t\t
