As Milan Fashion Week gets underway, London has established itself as a rich stage of this “Fashion Month”. We take a look back at the week’s events along the Thames.<\/h4>\n

The duality between elegance and punk, royalty and anarchy, which characterizes the English identity, is used to making its way into the catwalks and offering some powerful moments. Among the many brands presenting their latest Autumn-Winter 2024-2025<\/strong> collections, focus on the iconic Burberry<\/strong>, the creative JW Anderson<\/strong>, the provocative Dilara Findikoglu<\/strong> and the romantic Erdem<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Excursion to the Countryside for Burberry<\/h2>\n

How to celebrate the heritage of an iconic House while offering a modern collection? Like many designers, this is a question that Daniel Lee<\/strong> must answer each season. For his Fall-Winter 2024-2025 show, the artistic director of Burberry<\/strong> focused on the very essence of the brand, namely its very British identity. Under a large tent set up in London’s Victoria Park<\/strong>, top models – Jean Campbell<\/strong>, Lily Cole<\/strong>, Naomi Campbell<\/strong> to name a few – stepped forward in front of a crowd of celebrities such as Cara Delevingne<\/strong>, Georgia May Jagger<\/strong>, or actor Barry Keogan<\/strong>. On the runway made of synthetic grass, the winter silhouettes showcase rich materials. Wool, leather, and fur make up this wardrobe designed to withstand the unpredictable weather of the United Kingdom. Daniel Lee doesn’t forget to revisit classics like the trench coat and duffle coat, while shades of browns, grays, and greens depict an English countryside landscape.<\/p>\n

JW Anderson, Retro and Comfortable<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

Always highly anticipated, the shows imagined by Jonathan Anderson<\/strong> are always a guarantee of refreshing creativity. Presented at the Seymour Leisure Centre<\/strong> gymnasium, the JW Anderson Fall-Winter 2024-2025<\/strong> collection did not deviate from the rule. From the first silhouette, the tone is set: comfort is key. The pieces in the collection emphasize volumes by offering oversized coats, knitted sweaters with imposing stitches, and dresses resembling balls of wool. “A grotesque daily life, in grotesque deformations and proportions.”<\/em> announce the show’s notes. While retro and vintage styles occupy a prominent place in fashion trends, Jonathan Anderson takes the idea even further by delving into “grandma style.” Wearing gray wigs, the models parade with loose clothing on their backs and Ugg slippers on their feet. The lightweight knit loungewear sets invite you to stay at home, or rather to go out in the street while remaining ultra-casual.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
