Kering’s flagship fashion house has filed a complaint against Lord & Taylor, Sam’s Club and Century 21 for selling counterfeit Gucci products on their websites.<\/h4>\n

In the midst of an ultra-high-end relaunch and repositioning project under the new leadership of the duo Sabato De Sarno (Artistic Director) and Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Palus (CEO), Gucci is defending its image on the other side of the Atlantic.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

According to initial information from WWD<\/strong>, confirmed by the Kering Group’s flagship house, Gucci filed three lawsuits in Manhattan on Tuesday, November 21, against major American retailers Lord & Taylor, Sam’s Club and Century 21<\/strong>, for their role in the marketing and sale of counterfeit products.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Gucci remains committed to protecting its customers from retailers who profit from the sale of counterfeit goods. ” the brand emphasized in a statement.<\/p>\n

Caught red-handed<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gucci has sought an injunction and damages<\/strong> against distributors caught “red-handed”, and other unidentified individuals for “counterfeiting, false designation of origin, trademark infringement and unfair competition<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n
