Ch\u00e2teau Edmus, the renowned wine estate located in Saint-\u00c9milion, has decided to innovate by offering its 2017 vintage as an NFT and exclusively to Club Edmus members. This innovative initiative, combining winemaking tradition and blockchain technology, paves the way for a unique experience for wine lovers.<\/h4>\n

A bold innovation in the world of wine enters Saint-\u00c9milion with Ch\u00e2teau Edmus<\/strong>. The winery, run by former Apple executive Laurent David<\/strong>, is preparing to market its 2017 vintage as an NFT<\/strong>, reserved exclusively for Club Edmus members.<\/p>\n

“We’re boldly reinterpreting the terroirs of Saint-Emilion without fear of breaking codes, and with this desire to deconstruct the prejudices surrounding Bordeaux wines,”<\/em> explains Laurent David.<\/p>\n

Ch\u00e2teau Edmus, a 1.6-hectare<\/strong> wine estate in Saint-\u00c9milion, stands out not only for the quality of its wines, but also for its pioneering spirit. Its PHi<\/strong> cuv\u00e9e, made from old Cabernet Franc vines grown biodynamically, aged in “\u0153uf de Beaune” (a bespoke wine vat) and sulfite-free, was recently ranked among the top ten Bordeaux grands crus by specialist platform iDealWine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A new era of distribution<\/h2>\n

From October 12, 2023, Ch\u00e2teau Edmus has adopted an innovative distribution model, offering NFT allocations to its customers. This method enables enthusiasts to become members of Club Edmus and acquire the exclusive 2017 vintage.<\/p>\n

Club Edmus membership cards will be digitized in the form of NFTs, guaranteeing secure wine storage for the first year, traceability of each bottle’s movements, and facilitating the resale of cards or allocations.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Three membership levels ranging from \u20ac280 to \u20ac1,000<\/strong> will offer from<\/strong> 5% to 15% discount on 6 to 24 allocated bottles<\/strong>. A total of 280 NFT membership cards<\/strong> will be digitized on the Ethereum blockchain, “guaranteeing secure wine storage (offered for the first year), traceability of each bottle’s movements and easy resale of cards or allocations,”<\/em> says the vineyard owner.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In September 2024, they will have access to the 2018 vintage<\/strong>, and so on each year. These allocations also come with exclusive benefits, including visits to the estate, tastings of rare vintages, meetings, and even voting rights on various decisions.<\/p>\n
