Lucid Motors, the luxury electric vehicle manufacturer,<\/strong> recently unveiled a new variant of its flagship sedan, the Air Pure<\/strong><\/a>. This rear-wheel-drive (RWD) version is part of their strategy to expand their product range and boost demand in the electric vehicle (EV) market.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This announcement marks a significant milestone in the evolution of the Lucid Air<\/strong> lineup. Lucid Motors has come a long way since announcing its first EV prototype over seven years ago. The company’s initial dream of delivering the Air finally materialized in the fall of 2021<\/strong> when the Dream<\/strong> model editions started rolling off its assembly lines in Arizona.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Since then, Lucid has continued to expand its range, including the Air Grand Touring, Touring, and Pure<\/strong> models, not to mention the upcoming Sapphire<\/strong> model. The Sapphire is a powerful and high-end version of the Air.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Supported by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia<\/strong>, the company had already lowered the prices of its luxury Air sedans by up to $12,400<\/strong> in August. This move was driven by its efforts to catch up with Tesla, its main competitor.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Lucid Motors’ announcement pertains to the more affordable RWD version of the Air Pure, now available starting at $77,400<\/strong>. This new offering aims to make Lucid’s cutting-edge technology more accessible to consumers, although its price remains slightly higher than Tesla’s Model S<\/strong>, which starts at $75,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Despite its price point, the Air Pure RWD offers an impressive range of 410 miles on a single charge, making it one of the market’s top-performing electric vehicles in terms of range. The model can still generate 430 horsepower<\/strong>, accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, and regain 150 miles of range in just 12 minutes on a fast DC charging station.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n “The new Lucid Air Pure RWD has it all: style and technology, range and performance, space and practicality.
