Lelio Gavazza<\/strong>, current and future former Executive Vice President of Sales and Retail at Bvlgari, will become, from September, the CEO of the fashion company Tom Ford.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n This announcement comes after the acquisition of Tom Ford by the cosmetics group Est\u00e9e Lauder<\/strong>, won against its rival Kering. Through this agreement, Est\u00e9e Lauder became the sole owner of the Tom Ford brand, including its trademarks and other intellectual property rights.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n At the close of the deal, Guillaume Jesel<\/strong> was appointed president and CEO of the eponymous brand, and Peter Hawkings<\/strong> became the new creative director.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Upon completion of his new role, Lelio Gavazza will report directly to Ermenegildo Zegna<\/strong>, CEO of the Zegna Group, who currently holds the license for all Tom Ford fashion products and accessories, including the underwear, haute-joaillerie, children\u2019s fashion, textile and interior decoration.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “I am delighted to welcome Lelio Gavazza as CEO of Tom Ford Fashion<\/em>,” said Guillaume Jesel in the statement. “Est\u00e9e Lauder and Tom Ford have an exceptional and long-standing relationship with Gildo Zegna and the Zegna Group. We look forward to working closely with Ermenegildo Zegna, Lelio Gavazza and their teams to bring Tom Ford Fashion to its next level in global luxury<\/em>“.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The agreement with Est\u00e9e Lauder included a continuation of the long-standing Zegna Group license<\/strong> for Tom Ford men\u2019s clothing, which the company has held since 2006, as well as an extension of this agreement to include all Tom Ford products<\/strong>, now licensed by the group.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Lelio Gavazza\u2019s strong track record of global leadership brings exceptional luxury expertise to Tom Ford Fashion in retail management, wholesale distribution, marketing, digital and key markets including China<\/em>“, said Zegna in the statement, before adding: “I personally know and appreciate Lelio for many years, and I am convinced that his world-class business acumen, his deep international experience and leadership skills will prove invaluable in developing the TOM FORD FASHION business on a global scale<\/em>“.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Currently, Lelio Gavazza works as Executive Vice President of Sales and Retail at Bvlgari, owned by LVMH. Prior to that, he spent over two years at Sharmoon, a Chinese men\u2019s clothing company, including 11 months as CEO.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n When he takes up his position with Tom Ford, he will also be part of the executive management of the Zegna Group<\/strong>, which owns brands such as Zegna or Thom Browne.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n As CEO, he will be responsible for the entire Tom Ford Fashion business, which also includes collections development, merchandising, production, retail and wholesale distribution.
