Second place went to the Barcelona restaurant <strong>Disfrutar<\/strong>, run by chefs <strong>Oriol Castro, Eduard Xatruch and Mateu Casa\u00f1as<\/strong>. It was followed by two other Spanish restaurants: Madrid&#8217;s <strong>Diverxo<\/strong> (3rd) and the Basque <strong>Asador Etxebarri<\/strong> (4th).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Four French restaurants<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Four French restaurants<\/strong> feature in the list unveiled this Tuesday by the World&#8217;s 50 Best, compared with just three last year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The best French restaurant is in <strong>tenth<\/strong> place. It is <strong>Table<\/strong>, located in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, and run by chef<strong> Bruno Verjus<\/strong>, who reached 77th place in 2022. France is also well represented at <strong>24th<\/strong> place by the <strong>Septime<\/strong> restaurant, located in the capital&#8217;s 11th arrondissement, already in the top 30 in 2022 and 2021, and offering a lunch menu at 70 euros.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A little further on, Paris is represented once again with <strong>Pl\u00e9nitude<\/strong>, by chef <strong>Arnaud Donckele<\/strong>, ranked <strong>36th<\/strong>. This restaurant, located in the center of the capital, offers menus at around 400 euros. Finally, the last French representative to enter the ranking is in Pas-de-Calais, in <strong>48th<\/strong> place. This is <strong>La Grenouill\u00e8re<\/strong>, a luxury restaurant and hotel in La-Madelaine-sous-Montreuil, a few kilometers from Le Touquet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Other prizes<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Other prizes awarded during the evening included the <strong>Flor de Ca\u00f1a Sustainable Restaurant Award<\/strong>, won by chef Peter Tempelhoff&#8217;s <strong>Fyn<\/strong> restaurant in Cape Town, South Africa. P\u00eda Salazar of the <strong>Nuema<\/strong> restaurant in Quito, Ecuador, received the <strong>World&#8217;s Best Pastry Chef Award<\/strong>. Miguel \u00c1ngel Mill\u00e1n of <strong>Diverxo<\/strong> in Madrid won the <strong>Beronia World&#8217;s Best Sommelier Award<\/strong>. The <strong>Gin Mare Art of Hospitality Award<\/strong> went to Copenhagen&#8217;s <strong>Alchemist<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>American-Nigerian chef <strong>Kwame Onwuachi<\/strong> was honored with the <strong>One to Watch Award 2023<\/strong> for his work at New York&#8217;s Tatiana restaurant.
