Participation in EPHJ has been confirmed by nearly 750 exhibitors<\/strong>, mainly from SMEs representing 16 different countries,<\/strong> including Europe, Asia and the USA. These exhibitors will be showcasing the skills and innovations of the high-precision industry.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Around 90%<\/strong> of participants are active in the watchmaking industry, 59%<\/strong> in microtechnology and 50%<\/strong> in medical technology. This trend confirms the current focus on bridging the gap between the expertise of the watch and microtechnology industries and their application in the medical field.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Innovation being one of the key pillars of the show, the start-up cluster features some 30 promising young companies<\/strong> from Switzerland, France, Germany and the Netherlands.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “The number of exhibitors is up on 2022”<\/em>, announces Alexandre Catton<\/strong>, EPHJ Show Director. “The healthy state of the watch and jewellery sector is a major contributor to this positive outlook for EPHJ, as is the potential of the medical technology market. Our exhibitors have clearly understood that, even if their order books are full, it is important to see their customers in a different context, to nurture their professional relationships and open up to other perspectives.”<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n EPHJ’s renowned round tables offer an opportunity to keep abreast of current topics and exchange views with experts and industry personalities. They kick off today with a debate on the question: Will the watch industry continue to recover in 2023, or is a downturn imminent? Tomorrow, Wednesday<\/strong>, two roundtables will focus on developments in robotics. In the morning, St\u00e4ubli<\/strong> will present the promising potential of haptic robotics in watch production. The second round table of the day will focus on the technological alliance for the medical robotics of the future, in the presence of Nicolas Demartines<\/strong>, General Director of the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n On Thursday June 8, the spotlight will be on energy-efficient industrial processes. Best practices will be presented and experiences shared between experts, including Oliviero Lubatti<\/strong>, CEO of Romande Energie Services. The afternoon will be devoted to a promising discussion on the challenges of passing on watchmaking know-how with master watchmaker Philippe Dufour<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n A Job Dating<\/strong> session will also be organized in partnership with JobWatch<\/strong> on the last day of the Show, Friday June 9. Its aim is to raise interest in high-precision professions and combat the shortage of personnel in these sectors. Students, recent graduates, technicians looking for work and anyone else interested<\/strong> will have the opportunity to meet recruiters from companies present at the Show with vacancies to fill. They will also benefit from prior orientation and preparation by JobWatch professionals.
